navigating change
Navigating change is challenging but in a fast-paced ever-changing world, it has become an important skill to master.
Change is essence seems simple. You are about to leave the current equilibrium and want to move towards the future (better) equilibrium.
Along the way; while working your way through the turmoil, you'll get confronted with things that want to keep you in place and things that want to pull your forward. The things that want to keep you where you are, are very strong and unhelpfull attractors.
Status quo bias is such a strong attractor, pulling you back towards the current equilibrium
*attractors can be anything in your system: behaviours, strategies, beliefs, processes, ...
carve out time to get your goal crisp,
carve out time for thinking how,
carve out time for doing.
Goalsetting is theory is simple if you know what truly matter to you.
(If you don't know, find your why first.)
Translate your purpose into a general inspiring goal, a broader objective.
Set one ambitious specific goal: the goal must be measurable and motivating
Break the ambitious goal down into smaller easier to achieve sub-goals.
